The pico text editor is effectively absent from the majority of Linux
distributions, having been replaced with nano by virtually all of them.
Some distros have symlinks for `pico` that point to `nano`, but not all
of them. Using nano as the fallback option has a much lower chance of
failure than pico.

Someone on Discord asked this exact question, but these options apparently
weren't documented when they were added in the `0.7.0` release.

Thanks to @glencbz for noticing that VS Code works fine now as a
merge tool, and thanks to @solson for suggesting
`merge-tool-edits-conflict-markers = true`.
